ABOUT
For me, painting is not a choice. I have to do it- often and with passion. I have found that when I suspend my own inner critic and allow the art to come through me, I am often delighted and surprised with the results.
I've always used art as an expression of where I am in life. So at one point I was very unhappy with what was happening with the social political scene around me. At another time, I was feeling the need to fill my life with goddesses. At a more quiet time, I was meditating and handing my hands over to spirit to make art through me. After moving to Hawaii, I wanted to create more amorphous art through pouring. And during Covid, I chose to teach myself how to make pottery and use that as a surface for painting as well.
